CULTURES
Huda Amareh
Amira Abusheikha
Inas Abusheikha
We have selected six Muslim countries to visit and will be looking closely at the geography, special landmarks including local mosques, the unique clothing and customs, and trees and animals from the region.
The videos vary in length from 15-45 minutes, dependent upon the topic.
Our hosts are incredibly capable of engaging students even in the recorded sessions. There will be stories, references to the Quran and sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, beautiful photographs, and more.
We will be providing supplemental worksheets to expand learning outside of the "class," but in these classes, the assignments are only suggested, not required.
Sr. Huda's cooking segment will feature a favorite dish from the country we are visiting. She will explain ingredients and techniques. Younger children will need supervision, particularly with the use of knives and any recipe that is cooked on the stove or in the oven.
