About the Colors of Islam Club

The Colors of Islam Club provides children ages 8-12 with unique online learning opportunities. The classes challenge students to build on what they already know about Islam and take it to a new level of understanding. Our hosts use comedy, music, stories, crafts, and fun activities to encourage students to integrate Islamic principles and guidance into everyday life. Students are eager to attend classes and connect with peers who share the same values.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the curriculum for the older students in the Colors of Islam Club?

The summer series will broadly focus on the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Each of the classes will examine an aspect of his life and teachings in a way that makes them relevant to our own lives today. Students will learn how the details were recorded and why that is important, about modeling after the character of the Prophet, and how we can spread the message about Islam today. The content includes conventional facts about Islamic history and rituals but our delivery of it is absolutely unique! Hosts Baba Ali and Huda Amareh share their knowledge and inspiration with humor and creative energy. Students will be treated to a competitive Kahoot! game each week as a means of solidifying concepts learned. We will also feature an art project to get their creative juices flowing.

  • What time are the classes held?

During the session, classes will be held on Saturdays from 12N-1:30pm Eastern Daylight Time. (Be sure to check the times in your local area.)

  • Where do I find the Zoom link for the classes?

The Zoom link will be housed within your Thinkific platform dashboard. It is a simple process that brings everything related to the class in one place. Simply sign-in, open the session for that day, and click on the Join Meeting button. Each online class will have its own separate identification and security password but that will all be managed in the background by this software.

  • Will you provide any additional resources on these topics?

As we have done so previously, we will be providing lots of additional resources to extend learning outside of the class time. These types of supplemental materials have been very popular with parents in the past. Activity sheets will be provided for art projects, recipes, and invention fact sheets, and even additional worksheets to reinforce the lessons for the week. Parents will also be able to utilize suggested articles and videos to assist with reviewing the material further.

  • Can I share the link with my family and friends?

Please do share information about the classes so that others can benefit. But since these classes are paid programming, we ask that families NOT share the video links and resources. Our best marketing is by word-of-mouth and we hope that you can assist with that by telling your friends and family about the programming. Remember, we have scholarships available for those in need.
